FRIDAY, AUGUST 5:
10PM - Bout watching party at the Main St. Arena Bar
Join us as we watch roller derby on the big screen TVs in the Main St. Arena bar. Have a beer, enjoy a bout!
SATURDAY, AUGUST 6:
(all events at Main St. Arena unless otherwise noted)
9AM - Skating from the Core: Stay Centered, Stay Fierce, (1) 1 hour session
Yogi Susan Sherman will help you warm up for the day with an hour-long session of derby movement work that would make any pack of wolves proud.
Work on grabbing a full breath on and off skates, strengthen your balance, and learn about skating with natural instinct. Animals have an extraordinary connection with their bodies that gives them heightened awareness, calmness and super co-ordination, and helps protect them from injuries (and recover faster).
Find your strong and fierce connection, and practice controlling and protecting your body from its powerful abdominal center.
Off-skates event open to everyone.
10AM - Quadzilla gear spotlight
Quadzilla will discuss gear including the importance of light skates and how that helps with agility.
11 & 11:30AM - Sports Nutrition: Winning Strategies, (2) 30 minute sessions
Water, Gatorade, energy drinks or beer? Sports dietitian Melanie Brede will help you sort out what, when, and how much to eat and drink to be at your bouting best! Join us for a 20 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute Q&A.
NOON TO 2PM - Lunch on the Downtown Mall
Some of the Charlottesville Derby Dames will be available to escort skaters to lunch at one of several great restaurants on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall.
1PM TO 3PM - Open skate at the Herman Key Center
Located just a few blocks from the Main St. Arena at 800 E. Market St. Skate rentals are available and all ages welcome.
2PM - Wheels and Bearings spotlight
Roller Derby VA Beach will host a spotlight on wheels and bearings at their table.
3PM - Skates spotlight
Reidell will host a spotlight on skate boots.
ALL DAY - Virginia Wildlife Center
The beneficiaries of the tournament will be at MSA all day! They are bringing animals to show too so come say hi, see the animals, ask some questions, and pick up info on Virginia wildlife! Also visit http://www.wildlifecenter.org for more information.

Bring your camera and snap away in front of our VA is for Shovers photo backdrop.
ALL DAY - Button making
Bring a design for a two inch button or create one on the spot. $2.00 per button.
ALL DAY - Table and Chair Massage
Massage will be available for reasonable rates throughout the day. More details will follow soon!
